It’s February!  February is heart month for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.   It is very important to learn how to relieve stress for your heart health.

It’s also the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day.

People who know me well know that I feel V-Day has become a commercialized holiday designed to increase consumerism.

This does not mean I am cynical about love, it simply means that I believe love is something that is to be shown and shared 365 days per year, to all the people you care about – not just on February 14th to your significant other.

A dear friend and mentor of mine writes a daily blog about love each February.  She helped me to see that love is something to be celebrated and felt regularly – for others and especially for ourselves.

As a therapist and coach, I have helped many people learn how to bring more self-care and self love into their lives.  I have created 28 Days of Self-Care as a way to help you relieve stress and bring more self love into to your life.

If you’re like many people, the concepts of self-care and self love may bring up unpleasant feelings – perhaps that you don’t deserve it, you don’t have time for it or that it’s selfish.

Increasing self-care can help you; relieve stress, improve relationships, increase your income and have more energy.

I invite you to keep an open mind and be curious about self-care and self love as I share different ideas, thoughts and questions for you over the next 28 days.

Be sure to sign up as a VIP member of my community at the top of the page to get all of the posts.

If you know someone who may benefit from this – please send them a link to this post.

I look forward to your thoughts and comments about self-care and self love over the next 28 days.
